PLEASE NOTE:
To get clearly rendered fonts at all sizes using Adobe Type Manager (ATM) or TrueType, load copies of these fonts on your system, or use utilities such as MasterJuggler or Suitcase II, BEFORE opening them with KernEdit. If the fonts are loaded using these utilities, you must save your modified suitcase with a different name, and close the old suitcase before loading in the new fonts
Also, the preview window will only show text when the KernEdit editing window is active. Clicking on the preview window itself will clear all text.
The Master Kern List supplied on this disk contains approximately 800 potential kerning pairs. These pairs have a kerning value of 0 (zero) and can be useful for testing fonts for kerning. Here’s one way to make use of these possible kerning pairs.
• Open the font you wish to kern with KernEdit
• Load in the Master Kerning Table.
• Click on the first pair in the scrollable list of kerning pairs.
• Begin editing this pair, and continue through the list.
